Our Mission
Our mission is to solicit and acquire funds from philanthropic sources to enable Culbertson Memorial Hospital to better meet the healthcare needs of the people and the communities it serves.Organization
Established in 1995 as a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation, the CMH Foundation conducts various fundraising activities each year to improve the health and care of those served by Culbertson Memorial Hospital. All contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Leadership
The CMH Foundation is headed by a board of directors that consists of leaders from various communities in our service area. The Foundation board has the responsibility for governing the Foundation’s policy making, financial management, and fund development activities. Assisted by the CMH Director of Development, these volunteers receive no compensation for their time and talents.

Assurance
The Foundation is a separate, not-for-profit corporation from Culbertson Memorial Hospital. Gifts to the Foundation are used for updating Culbertson Memorial Hospital’s facilities, equipment, and programs. The Foundation board exercises prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities and assures donors that their gifts will be used exclusively for the purpose they designate, and will not be combined with Culbertson Hospital’s operating funds. Donors are assured that information about their donations is handled with respect and confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
Our Campaigns
Since its creation, the Foundation has been fortunate to receive tremendous community support through various campaigns that are conducted throughout the year. The proceeds from these campaigns have helped CMH purchase or upgrade sophisticated medical equipment and expand services.
Tributes and Memorials
The Foundation gratefully recognizes contributions given in memory or honor of a special person or event. We will acknowledge your tribute to loved ones with a note to family members informing them of your thoughtfulness. In addition, gifts totaling $500 or more will be acknowledged with a plaque on our donor wall in the name of the memorialized or honored person.
Donor Recognition
Culbertson Memorial Hospital recognizes all major contributors in a prominent display on the Donor Recognition Wall in the front lobby. The levels of giving are as follows:
- Principal Gifts - $25,000 or above
- Major Gifts - $10,000 - $24,999
- Subscribing Gifts - $5,000 - $9,999
- Honor Roll Gifts - $2,000 - $4,999
- Friends of CMH - $500 - $1999
Donations
Only you can determine what you are capable of giving, and how important you believe our mission to be. Your support will be gratefully accepted as a gift in your name, anonymously, or as a loved one's memorial. The following are guidelines that show you a variety of ways to pledge your support to the CMH Foundation:
- Cash - checks can be made payable to the CMH Foundation.
- Securities - transfer ownership of a capital asset, such as stocks or bonds.
- Real Estate - homes, plots, or acres of farmland.
- Personal Property - articles of value (jewelry, gold, coins, artwork)
- Planned Gifts - through bequest and living trusts, charitable remainder trusts, life insurance, and charitable gift annuities.
